In today’s healthcare environment, nurses have a pivotal role to play as part of a multi-professional team, caring for a diverse range of patients and working in a wide variety of specialist areas. This course has been specially developed to give you the wide-ranging, high-level skills you need: not just in terms of the physical work you will do, but also by sharpening your creativity, critical judgement and ability to lead.


This documentation constitutes the Programme Outline for the Undergraduate Degree of the Bachelor in Health Care Studies / Nursing of the University Institute for International and European Studies (UNIES). All courses are structured in modules. Each individual module is designed to provide in-depth subject knowledge and also contributes to a cross-functional understanding. The dissertation tests students’ knowledge across all subject areas. The overall outcome of this course supports Graduates in their career development through the combination of academic knowledge and essential practice-orientation of highest standards.

The programme is internationally oriented. Through cooperation with international partner institutions the programme will be offered by local affiliate academic eudcation and training centres, and on request as a double-degree programme together with related university partners. Our innovative nursing degrees blend novel teaching methods, exciting clinical experiences and rigorous academic knowledge, all designed to prepare you for a professional nursing career. We welcome people from a diverse range of backgrounds: whether they’re young adults leaving school, mature students, or those simply looking to retrain for a more rewarding career.

Apply for a Bachelor Degree Programme

In order to be enrolled into a Bachelor degree programme at UNIES students must submit the following documents:

  • Passport / ID-Card

  • Recent Photography

  • Certificate from an accredited secondary school, High School diploma, VWO, Baccalauréat, Maturité Fédérale, German Abitur or equivalent.

  • Proof of fluency in English certificated by a university, college or a professional language institution or any other competent body

  • Student Portfolio / curriculum vitae

Submit a full application with all supporting documentation. All documents has to be submitted in electronic version by email (pdf or jpg-file). The original documents or original translations shall be submit on request. English translations of these documents are necessary if they are in any language other than English. Translation documents have to be legalized by a notary public in the country of origin.
